Macfar Logo Design

I was asked to come up with some options to update the company logo for Macfar in Dundalk. The brief was quite broad as the customer wanted to see a mixture of some new ideas as well as having a look at modernising the current logo. After looking at some new ideas it was felt the the best way forward was to adapt the current logo bringing it in line with a more current look. This would keep a sense of familiarity with the brand to the public but at the same time bringing it forward. 

I decided that a bolder font would help give an impression of strength in the marketplace. I also updated the symbol of the house to a more modern building as well as giving the current swish a more modern treatment. As well as this I arranged the elements slightly differently to be more visually simple and clear.
